Weekend Coffee Share 23/09/2017

So I heard that right, there was a knock on my door! I didn’t expect you to come an visit, really what a surprise! Come on in it’s so good to see you!

If we were having coffee on this very beautiful first official Saturday of Autumn then we would be sitting on the ground on nice fluffy sheep skins (sorry if you are vegan or a vegetarian then you can sit on the ground a chair) surrounded by stuffed animals. The ground is the safest place for the boy to be at the moment, and there is no sofa. Continue reading “Weekend Coffee Share 23/09/2017”

Weekend Coffee Share on a Birthday Weekend with a chat about books, blogging, friends and other things

If we were having coffee today (Saturday) then maybe we would have met up in the park this morning, it looks like rain now so I guess this afternoon you’d pay a visit to my humble home. If we’d decide to meet up tomorrow (Sunday) then you may join us for some birthday cake or on a Paris family outing (probably Palais Royal)… Continue reading “Weekend Coffee Share 19/08/2017”

Weekend Coffee Share 08/07/2017

If we were having coffee, then I would be so glad to have you over!

The past two Saturdays I had friends over (both where in my class in high school, which was 10, yes TEN years ago!!!), as no one is announced for today (maybe a friend will come tomorrow), and little one, errr should give her a different nickname is sleeping, I will do a coffee post.

It has been forever since I had coffee with you. Or maybe this is the first time you are stumbling onto my blog, or the first time you are reading a coffee share post here… Anyways it has been a while.

It is a beautiful day in Paris and I have no coffee to propose to you, but maybe a sparkling water, a grenadine? I have milk and still water too and if you are really into a hot beverage then maybe a tea, or a hot chocolate?

Now, if you are a regular reader of my blog, then you are probably wondering what I have been up to all these months. Or maybe you figured it out all by yourself. Continue reading “Weekend Coffee Share 08/07/2017”

2016 might be over, but…

2016 might be over, but…

I would like to give a little update on the year’s stats. First the last quarter of 2016 and then the year’s overview.

It has been a while – 2nd and 3rd Quarter of 2016 in Blogging Stats

It has been a while – 2nd and 3rd Quarter of 2016 in Blogging Stats

Last year in October I posted my first real stats report, on the 3rd Quarter of 2015. Then there was the end of year report which included the 4th Quarter of 2015 as well as a yearly overview. So far for this year I only put up one report, the one regarding the 1st Quarter. It was meant to continue being a regular feature, but life happens, and I did not blog all that much.

Mostly for future reference, and as I want to leave 2016 in 2016, here is a detailed report of the 2nd and 3rd Quarter of Blogging! The 4th Quarter and a global report for 2016 will follow once this year has come to a close.  Continue reading “It has been a while – 2nd and 3rd Quarter of 2016 in Blogging Stats”

The Winds of Change and Continuity

The Winds of Change and Continuity

Windmill

Jean-Jacques rolled up the sails of his windmill, made sure that everything was in order before he headed home after a very long day.

A strong wind had woken him during the night, a wind like he was lucky to have once or twice per year. Not too strong, as too strong winds could be problematic, even catastrophic, but strong enough to grind as much grain as he would normally be able to do in two weeks time. If we were having coffee – 28 May 2016

If we were having coffee, then we would be having tea (there are many varieties to choose from). Or you could have some water or milk or even soy milk.

If we were having our weekend drinks then I would ask you if you wanted some vanilla ice cream with that, maybe with some pecans? You might know that I have a love for Vanilla, which pushed me to read and review an amazing book.

If we were having coffee, then you might be asking how I have been, which is understandable seen my blogging silence and the last post I put up. I am shingles free now, my skin is still of a different shade where the rash was, and I am lucky the pain is mostly gone. It does hurt at times when I don’t drink enough water. So my advice for anyone having shingles is: drink a lot of water! Hydration is the key to avoid horrible pain. Little one’s chickenpox appeared two weeks ago, now her scars are all healing. 3 months

This is a little piece that I wrote yesterday (24th of Mai 2016), which does explain my recent blogging silence. Hopefully posting it will get me out of the slump.

3 months

3 months ago my mother drew her very last breath.

I still cannot believe it. I cannot seem to grasp this new reality.

Sometimes things are very tough. Especially when realization comes crashing down on me like a tsunami.

3 months is a long time. So much can happen in 3 short months. I watched my daughter grow, develop an impressive bilingual vocabulary. I thought about my past, my present and what I want for my future. I got my creativity going again. Still these last three months have been foggy I am not experimenting Spring the way I did last year. I never experienced Spring so intensely as I did last year. I had no idea that the interests Spring so far would be the last one with my mother.  Continue reading “3 months”

If we were having coffee – 2 April 2016

If we were having coffee, then we would just like last week be eating a lot of fruit. Because well S did go to the market after work today. We would be getting comfortable, sorry I have no nice sofa to recline on.

Solveig's MugIf we were having coffee then I would tell you that I met an old friend this morning, he actually knows me since I was little one’s age, so for quite some years (around 25 years), he is an extra dad, or a self picked godfather (I am not baptised, which gives me the advantage of handpicking my own godparents). We had a nice chat in a café near by, if you want to we could go there for a drink. Once I came back home little one demanded to go to bed with me… Continue reading “If we were having coffee – 2 April 2016”
