If we were having coffee on this first Sunday of April 2019

If we were having coffee on this first Sunday of April, then I’d as usually make you a cup of tea. If we were having coffee, I would ask you how you are doing. So how are you? I’d make sure that you’ll tell me about your worries, your projects and dreams. If we were having coffee, I’ tell you that I am excited that … Continue reading If we were having coffee on this first Sunday of April 2019

Let’s have some tea – weekend coffee share on the 24th of March 2019

Oh hello, what a surprise that you could drop by!

If we were having coffee, I’d be super happy to have you over. I’d get out a few chocolates. Oh right it is lent, so maybe you won’t be snacking on the chocolate Santa’s.

If we were having coffee, I’d probably serve you some tea as I don’t have any coffee around the house. While waiting for the electric kettle to boil, I’d ask you so many questions. Starting with: how are you?

So how are you? What have you been up to lately? What books are you reading at the moment and what music are you listening to? Have you joined the #fridaysforfuture movement? Are your kids, parents, friends, siblings, pets doing ok? And so on…

If we were having coffee (on the 4th of November 2018)

If we were having coffee today, then you’d tell me that I don’t look fresh. I’d reassure you and tell you that I am a whole lot better. But I have been sick for over a week, therefore I did not have you over for coffee last week. You’d probably ask me what I have, and I’d raise my shoulders to just let them drop again, I have all symptoms of the flu, except for joint-pain.

If we were having coffee, then we’d be sipping hot ginger with honey and lemon. It helps a lot to make things more bearable. I’d incite you to make most of the weather. The sky is blue and it looks like a good photography light!

Today is the last day of the school holidays (S had a little over a week off), we stayed in Paris and went on some day trips. One was just to Notre Dame and the Marais, the other was to Versailles (I started feeling sick when we came home from there). Those two days were a lot of fun and food for the eyes.  Continue reading “If we were having coffee (on the 4th of November 2018)”

If we were having coffee (on the 20th of October 2018)

If we were having coffee today, then I would tell you that it has been forever since I last did a coffee share post. I don’t know how long it has been, but let’s not dwell on that. You can find all old coffee share posts in the category Weekend Coffee Share and all new ones (erm future ones as this is the first one) in the category If we were having Coffee.

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you how happy I am to have you join me today. I’d tell you that I still don’t drink coffee and that we will thus be having tea or water, or that we can have a coffee in a nearby café (but I am frugal…). As the weather is nice (global warming alert) we can find a nice place outside, and if it’s cold there are often blankets and heaters to keep us warm.

If we were having coffee or some other beverage, then I’d ask you how you are. So, how are you doing? I hope that you are happy, that you and your loved ones are in good health, that you have a good life balance. What are your projects, aspirations? What have you been up to lately (if you also do coffee shares then I’ll try to find some time to join you and read up)?

I suppose that you’ll have a lot of questions for me, especially seen my absence from coffee shares and blogging in general. I love blogging, the creativity and exchanges that come with it are so great, but sometimes a break just happens. After my birthday I decided to take things into hand and I am now posting once a week for my 30 to 31 challenge. This week, I suddenly found the time, energy and inspiration to write. That was on Monday. On Monday, I was home alone, I didn’t have to work and spending some time with myself just for myself seems to have rebalanced my energies.

I posted something in German. I know that most of my regular readers don’t really read in German, but I am a German teacher and my blog is also a way for students to find me (they actually do). Lately, many of my students have been asking for audio and video material to use in their own time. I am blessed that I currently have motivated students (that isn’t always the case). As I don’t want to post a simple list, I figured to start a series on my blog where I share some useful resources.  Continue reading “If we were having coffee (on the 20th of October 2018)”
