I forgive you what you have done.
I forgive you for the hurtful words you have spoken.
I forgive you the pain you have caused.
I forgive you for jumping to conclusions too quickly.
I forgive you the false accusations.
I forgive you for not understanding me all the time.
I forgive your actions.
I forgive your negative thoughts.
I forgive you for the gossip.
I forgive you for the sniggers.
I forgive you for the rumours.
I forgive you for the tears you have caused.
Please forgive me for the worries I have caused.
Please forgive me for the words I picked without thought.
Please forgive me for the choices I made, they are mine and not yours.
Please forgive me for being myself.
Please forgive me for being slow at times.
Please forgive me for taking time to digest the things that have hurt me.
Please forgive me for having prejudged you.
Please forgive me for having been in a bad mood.
Please forgive me for overreacting.
Please forgive me for the moments where I lack courage.
Please forgive me for not being in touch.
Please forgive my silence.
Please forgive me for not understanding.
I forgive myself for all of the mistakes I made.
I forgive myself for all of the choices I did not make.
I forgive myself for those bad choices I did make.
I forgive myself for the things I did not do.
I forgive myself for those that I did and regretted afterwards.
Let’s forgive!
This post is my contribution to the #1000Speak movement. The theme for this month’s linkup is forgiveness.

I really liked this. It is like a prayer to humanity. The world does need more forgiveness.

Oh thank you Trent. I think we often struggle with forgiving, but it is an important thing to do here and there 🙂

Gulara, thanks so much! I was thinking of you while writing it, I remember you had a phase when you wrote posts in lines 🙂

Thank you! 🙂
I was just wondering how I can find your blog (if you have one), because your name does not link there and your gravatar profile does not include any links either.

You’re welcome. And thanks for letting me know that my name was a dead end. I hadn’t realised. I should have commented using my Twitter account, I usually do.
I’ll have to update my Gravatar.
Here’s the link for now (assuming this works. *crosses fingers 🙂 Thanks for asking! http://mentalillnessgodandme.blogspot.co.uk/

I agree with all the previous comments. Very evocative. I would actually like to hear it spoken and performed in low light. It would be very powerful.
Hope you have a great weekend. I can’t believe another week has passed. My kids start school next Thursday. That could have been another compassion post…Forgive Mummy…she means well.

Oh Rowena, thank you! Yes time truly flies at the moment, but not at a slow speed…
I have been thinking of recording a few posts (especially short stories) and to start doing a podcast. I guess if I do that, this post will be featured. Ah you are motivating me for another project here 🙂
