What have I done? – Was habe ich getan? – Qu’est-ce que j’ai fait? – A to Z Challenge

What in have I done? I have just signed up for the A to Z Challenge. This means that I have committed myself to writing 26 blog posts during the month of April, one for every letter of the alphabet, one post a day except for Sundays. If I won’t post anything for 5 days, I will be excluded from the challenge. They advise to keep the posts short, my goal is to not exceed 250 words per post. There seem to be no rules regarding languages to post in. So hopefully I will have the strength to post in more than just English. I am a bit worried about neglecting my readers of German and French. There are still a few days left for signing up here, if you want to join me in this crazy adventure.

Was habe ich getan? Ich habe mich soeben in dem  A to Z Challenge eingeschrieben.

What do you think you will post about as well? I’m interested to read your posts either way 😀 so good luck!

I am not one hundred percent sure what my posts will be about, a bit like my blog. I can tell you that there is going to be a post about one of my favourite authors, about an animal and a short story… But I don’t want to tell too much.

I really love the translations you are doing! What a great way to present your writing! 🙂

Thank you 🙂 they are not always exact translations, more “natural” translations.

It’s really great to see the two languages side by side. We spoke some German at home growing up, but when my sister and I started school, my father (who knew no English when he moved to America) started to focus on learning English himself, learning it as we were learning it in school, and because that was our/his focus, we sort of lost it 😦

Oh that is too bad. My grandmother was really scared that my sister and I would loose our German, so she made sure we had some great audio books (lots of poetry).
