    Give the gift of learning

    Give the gift of learning

This holiday season, give the gift of learning!  Are you bored by browsing shops or website for gifts that will likely be stored away anyways? Aren’t you longing to gift an experience, a competence, a memory?  If you have a relative, friend or even a colleague who’d like to start…

    Are you still here?

    Are you still here?

Are you still here? Are you still reading my posts? I have an ambiguous relationship with my blog and blogging habit. When I started blogging in 2016, I might have taken blogging a bit too seriously. Taking on challenges whenever I could, but it became a lifeline. At the time…

Apprendre L’Allemand Hors Les Murs À Paris

Age is just a number, not an excuse!

Age is just a number, not an excuse!

Age has always been thrown around as a pretext after all: “You are too young to understand!” – “You most likely want to have kids soon, and what will we do then?” – “You are too old and will soon leave the workforce”, don’t use those cheap excuses as weapons…

    Sourface at Les Disquaires 14/10/2021

    Sourface at Les Disquaires 14/10/2021

The band was drenched in sweat and the crowd could just not get enough! On the 14th of October 2021 Sourface (pronounced sour face), a Franco-British band from London played a vibrant gig in the Parisian venue Les Disquaires. I have been to many, many (maybe too many) concert, but…

    The NWC Ed. 6

On the 11th of September 2021, hundreds of cyclist will pedal for a good cause.  What started in 2016 after the death of my mother to do something as an homage to her and to raise awareness regarding HPV (Human Papilloma Virus)-prevention has since matured into an international cycling event,…

    Did I have Covid?

    Did I have Covid?

Covid-19 was detected in December 2019, so a bit over a year ago. It took a few more weeks for the info to seep through to us. I remember first reading about Covid around the 25th of January. My sister had send us a message recommending us to buy masks…

Remember? I used to do these coffee shares on a weekly basis for quite some time. This morning, I thought that maybe I should join in again. In a year, where virtually meeting with friends and family has become the new normal, I no longer know how to welcome you,…

Yetis and Music, Walks and Other Smiles

Last week school was out for “All Saints Holidays” (strange name for school holidays in a country where showing religious signs in public spaces, especially in schools, isn’t allowed), and I had the occasion, to spend a whole day with just my daughter. When you are a big sister it…

    The darker season

It was November, it was definitely November. Rachel looked out the window. Rain was pouring down from the grey almost black sky. November. What a month. No light. Rachel grabbed her bag, her umbrella and glanced at her feet. The shoes, that she was wearing were most certainly not going…
