The Wooden Face -Hugh’s Photo Challenge: Week 10 – Faces

When I started my blog, I was on the lookout for things to capture and share here. One day I came across this:

wooden face

Can you see the head? The face? I did not really know what to do with it back then, but now that Hugh’s Photo Challenge is all about faces, I have the perfect excuse to post it! Actually with mentioning the challenge here, I had no real excuse not to participate.

I made sure that I got a different shot of the particular face, seen that it fit even into the hand of my daughter, putting it into a different light was no problem.

What do you think? Can you see the face? What stories does it evoke?

  1. Yes, I can see both the face and the head, Solveig. In fact, in the first photo, the head looks like that of a reindeer (looking at it from side-on). His antler is made up of that little piece of bark just to the top left of the object.

    Great capture for the challenge.

        1. Thank you Hugh, interpretation of things is so personal, I realised that in school when I saw things in poems that we had to interpret that not even my teacher had noticed 🙂
          Have a great weekend!

  2. I too see the reindeer or the head of a dog in the first picture. I see an old lady in the shadow of the second picture. I LOVE looking for pictures that others don’t see. I have a couple of those pictures on my blog. Fun post, Solveig!
