Let’s have a cup of coffee

Wow, it’s been ages since I sat down to write a #weekendcoffeeshare, I’ve been thinking about doing so for a while. But as we all know, thinking is not doing… And I am great at thinking (must have been a philosopher in a previous life).

So where were we? Come on in, and get comfortable. Do you prefer a tea – I have lot of different options, or a French pressed coffee? Yep, I actually have coffee at home now. How have you been? How is the writing going? How has 2026 started for you? I am all ears and curious to find out.

Here the year started with snow, slowing life down a little bit. It already started super slowly, as we took a break from work while the kids were off from school. As many of my classes had to come to an end by the end of December, January started very slowly. I am reassured, as my schedule for next week is finally looking more serious.

What are your goals for 2026? What projects are you envisioning?
I’ve briefly mentioned in my previous posts what I’ve planned for 2026. I really want to write more regularly, here on this blog, in my notebooks – continue my novel that has been hibernating since 2019, write a collection (or maybe two of short stories) – I also aim to publish on linkedIn on a weekly basis, those posts will be more work related, and there will also be some instagram posts but that’s not really writing. Lately I have received quite a lot of positive feedback regarding my writing, which definitely helps to get back into it.

Now, how are you enjoying your drink? Do you have some time afterwards? I’d love to talk you for a walk through the city. I’ll show you the places that I’ll plan on visiting with my “discovering Paris” students.

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!

This weekend coffee share post is hosted by Natalie the Explorer, link to her post is here.
