If you have recently moved to Paris, are stopping by on a trip or have been living here for a while and want to talk French outside a typical school setting, going for a walk, shopping, visiting a museum or discovering a neighbourhood (and maybe even its history), then I have just the thing for you.
When moving to a new country, or just visiting and wanting to discover the local lifestyle, the language barrier can often be higher than expected. I myself was lucky to learn French in school in France, but I did observe my parents struggling with the language, with the habits in the first few years (and France was their second destination as expats). Dealing with papers from school, checking if you are correctly insured and just buying the cheese that will light up your taste buds like in Ratatouille is often a huge challenge. How do you ask about allergens in the pastries, say keep the change, dare to ask someone where is the nearest metro station is (and understand the answer), politely ask if the free space on the bench is really free or just talk about what you see?
I want to invite you to some more uncommon French lessons. Discover Paris while speaking French, get to know the French way of life through the eyes of a local. I won’t teach you how to write, but I’ll teach you how to get through the day. And if you are already a bit more advanced, let’s chat about the city, the culture, the latest exhibit, go shopping… Oh and if you are really struggling, I can help with paperwork too, accompany you to the parent teacher-meetings.
Normal French conversation classes outside in Paris with a visit of a café or a museum will last 2h-3h depending on the “sortie” that we’ll be doing.
What’s the price? 65€/h per hour (for 1,5h to 2h per session) (and normally you should even be able to pay by card).
If you need admin help (calling or visiting the sécurité sociale, dealing with your home insurer, accompanying you to the parent-teacher conference) where I can translate for you into English or German, the price is 80€/h (minimum 1h30min and afterwards invoiced in 30 minutes increments).
How can you pay? Normally (fingers crossed it will work soon), by contactless payment by card, wire transfer, cash.
So what are you waiting for? Reach out today to better your French tomorrow!
