I stand in the snow
In the garden that has turned into a world of white.
All is silent
No birds, no singing crickets
Nothing but the tiny bubbling of a frozen creak
As its waters battle to flow beneath the ice.
There are no colors around me but white

“We’ll be there soon I can sense it,” she replied, not even pausing to hold her breath.
“I am cold too. And for ages we’ve only seen snow and trees, how can you be so certain that we’ll be there soon?” Her younger daughter chipped in.
