Earlier this year I mentioned on my blog that I want to change professionally. From time to time I have had posts in a self-analysis style. In a way sharing these thoughts, makes me feel less lost. So the truth is that there are quite a few truths. I wrote a guest post for Gulara Vincent more than 3 years ago. At the time my … Continue reading Truth – T – A to Z Challenge 2019
If we were having coffee, then we would be having tea (there are many varieties to choose from). Or you could have some water or milk or even soy milk.
If we were having our weekend drinks then I would ask you if you wanted some vanilla ice cream with that, maybe with some pecans? You might know that I have a love for Vanilla, which pushed me to read and review an amazing book.
If we were having coffee, then you might be asking how I have been, which is understandable seen my blogging silence and the last post I put up. I am shingles free now, my skin is still of a different shade where the rash was, and I am lucky the pain is mostly gone. It does hurt at times when I don’t drink enough water. So my advice for anyone having shingles is: drink a lot of water! Hydration is the key to avoid horrible pain. Little one’s chickenpox appeared two weeks ago, now her scars are all healing. T is for Teaching
My favourite T word was already used last year. Seen that I am not in time with this post, I am a bit late, I did realise that many people did write about time too. You might enjoy this post in relation to time.
I have no idea when I first started to be drawn to teaching. Every time that I had a good teacher I enjoyed their lessons and absorbed everything like a sponge. They showed me that teaching is not only a job, that it is a “calling”, that it can be done with passion, and that you can always learn something new in the process. They taught me not only what they were meant to teach, no they taught me more, often times to go further. Continue reading “T is for Teaching #AtoZChallenge”
N is for Nine
I am a 9, a 36/9 to be exact. On top of that I am in year 9, thus closing a cycle.
About a year ago I picked up my mom’s copy of Dan Millman’s The Life You Were Born to Live (in German). Since then I have looked at it more than once. I have not read the whole book, but I have looked at passages. Mostly skimming through for interesting information, I had conversation with S, which lead him to take the decision to enrol in a course last year and finally pursue his passion.
Back then I did read a bit about my own number or numbers but never in depth. I did that after my mother died, maybe to take my mind off things, but also to find my path, just like I am using this year’s A to Z Challenge to figure out where I want to go next. L is for Learn
Everyday we learn something new. A new skill, a new word, a new recipe. Everyday we discover something new.
Life long learning exists, it is the natural way of living. We might be learning less or at a slower pace than kids when we are adults, but we still learn.
Kids, you can watch them learn. Learn to independently move. Learn to communicate. Learn to climb the stairs. Learn to do shoelaces. Learn to count. Learn to write their name. Learn to eat with cutlery. Learn to express themselves. Learn to read and write. Continue reading “L is for Learn #AtoZChallenge”
