The teargas had us coughing and crying. Our path was sprinkled with protesters about to engage in a streetfight. When we finally put some distance between us and the angry mob, the fresh air of the empty park was a very good reason to smile. Last Saturday, I took my kids to a nearby playground so that they could make the most of the summer in October (the trees still haven’t changed colour, except those that turned grey in July). My daughter quickly joined other kids playing in the evening sun rays.
Suddenly, a girl, aged about four or five arrived at the playground with her parents. She wanted to stay a bit and negotiated 10 minutes. In order to not go over or under said limit her dad used the chronometer function on his connected watch. The Scent of Roses
When my parents got married almost 24 years ago my mom had a beautiful bridal bouquet. The roses were vivid in colour, red, pink, yellow. The colours were strong, not the faint pastel tones one is used to for weddings. My mother was not wearing white either, she wore a black dress with a light pink blazer. The Bus Driver
“Hello, I really like your glasses. They suit you well!” Were the words with which I was greeted upon entering the bus I took home on Tuesday. With them came a friendly smile and gleaming eyes of the not so young bus driver.
“Thank you!” I replied with a smile and made my way further into the vehicle.
