Let’s have some tea – weekend coffee share on the 24th of March 2019

Oh hello, what a surprise that you could drop by!

If we were having coffee, I’d be super happy to have you over. I’d get out a few chocolates. Oh right it is lent, so maybe you won’t be snacking on the chocolate Santa’s.

If we were having coffee, I’d probably serve you some tea as I don’t have any coffee around the house. While waiting for the electric kettle to boil, I’d ask you so many questions. Starting with: how are you?

So how are you? What have you been up to lately? What books are you reading at the moment and what music are you listening to? Have you joined the #fridaysforfuture movement? Are your kids, parents, friends, siblings, pets doing ok? And so on…

Sankta Lucia by Annika Perry – Day 13 Advent 2017

HAPPY LUCIA

TODAY in Sweden nearly every home, school, hospital, factory, workplace, church, hotel and restaurant is celebrating LUCIA.

Lucia is the Bringer of Light and is celebrated on what, in the old almanac, was the darkest day of the year. The day is one of light, hope and love. The tradition has its roots in St. Lucia of Syracuse who died as a martyr in AD304. Continue reading Sankta Lucia by Annika Perry – Day 13 Advent 2017

“A concert you say?”

“Yes!” They answered in unison.  Continue reading “First Concert”

M is for Mmm #AtoZChallenge

M is for Mmm

My A to Z muse seems to be on a break for the letter M. Well I actually have a lot of M words floating in my head, Mother, Mistake (wait that was last year’s M word), Minute, Midway (as we are midway through the Alphabet today!), Müll (meaning garbage), MadameMusicMiddle school. None of those words really stuck, at the moment there seems to be no M word that my authentic self needs to write about.

So, I decided to share a little sketch from the past. It does show an word after all, Music (a word that my daughter loves). We are as I am writing this listening to My home is nowhere without you by Herman Düne (I am liking you to the youtube video). Continue reading “M is for Mmm #AtoZChallenge”

J is for Job #AtoZChallenge

J is for Job

For some reason today I am going to write about Job or Jobs. Strange how these words end up popping up in my head… Maybe it’s because I am trying to figure out what will be my next move, my next step.

Distributing publicity and babysitting

The first job that I can remember was helping my friend distribute the newsletter of her church. I don’t think that there was a real payment, once we were paid with a box of biscuits and 10 marks for both of us, so 5 per person. It was more a symbolic way of thanking us.
