If we were having coffee – 2 April 2016

If we were having coffee, then we would just like last week be eating a lot of fruit. Because well S did go to the market after work today. We would be getting comfortable, sorry I have no nice sofa to recline on.

Solveig's MugIf we were having coffee then I would tell you that I met an old friend this morning, he actually knows me since I was little one’s age, so for quite some years (around 25 years), he is an extra dad, or a self picked godfather (I am not baptised, which gives me the advantage of handpicking my own godparents). We had a nice chat in a café near by, if you want to we could go there for a drink. Once I came back home little one demanded to go to bed with me… Continue reading “If we were having coffee – 2 April 2016”

Doors in Antwerp, Belgium

At the end of January and beginning of February, I spend a rather rainy and windy weekend in Antwerp, Belgium. Due my recent blogging break, I did not write anything special about this weekend trip, the truth be told it was not a very eventful trip, the rain did keep me from exploring most of the city.

With Thursday Doors in mind, a linkup in which I had never participated in, I snapped some pictures of doors which I walked past or through. As the linkup celebrates it’s one year anniversary this week, well I did have to join in, didn’t I?

A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal

I know, I know I am a bit late for the theme reveal, but you know yesterday I had a very lovely guest post, and thus my A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal post is going up a bit late. I will ost likely be sound asleep when it will go live, as it is scheduled so that it is still the 21st of March in many time zones, that’s a good compromise isn’t it?

Last year, I found out about the A to Z Challengeonce I there seemed to be only Theme Reveal posts everywhere. This year, I should have had time to repare, but I am about as prepared as last year. If you are nterested you can find last year’s posts here, I did not have a theme back then.

aSince last year’s challenge ended, I have been thinking of my potential theme. Should I write pieces of flash fiction? Should I share memories? Should I do this or that? Since day one my blog has been eclectic, I guess that’s why pinpointing a theme in which to write 26 posts, might be a bit constraining. With what I read in the past challenge I knew what works well, what does not work too well. I quickly ecided that it would be a no to a continuous piece, as those sadly are neglected, unless you have many readers on day one that are completely charmed, it might be a tough month for you…

So what theme have I decided on? I have decided to Continue reading “A to Z Challenge Theme Reveal”

Weekend Coffee Share – 19 March 2016

If we were having coffee, then we would probably be having tea. Currently, I am drinking some Pu-ehr. But I would gladly make us some nice Bai Mu Dan (white tea), at the moment this is my favourite. Once you have made the choice of beverage, I also have water or milk, we’d settle down around my living room table for a nice chat.

Solveig's Mug If we were having coffee, then I would ask you how you are doing. So, how are you? I have been quite absent from the blogosphere in a while, and am glad to catch up at last! Did you write a must read post over the last 2 months that I did not read? Then let me know, and I will try to do the necessary catching up.

If we were having coffee, then you might ask me where I have been all this time, well I did write a few posts this week and in the beginning of the month I did write about why I have been so absent. Now, I am slowly getting my life back on a new track and that includes being a very active and productive blogger! Continue reading “Weekend Coffee Share – 19 March 2016”

A Book and An Angel – #weeklysmile

I have been a bit absent from blogging over the last few days. I was traveling over the weekend, this means that I will be doing some travel posts soon.

Book Selfie, The Monster's Daughter by Deborah BryanYesterday morning, I opened my letter box and found a marvellous surprise, a small parcel. Without opening it I already knew what was inside and could not stop smiling. Deborah Bryant had send me her book The Monster’s Daughter. She dedicated it to me with such sweet words, authors’ inscriptions are the best. Currently I am reading a different book, but I will probably pick up hers after that. Today, Deborah made me smile again. She had written a post about who she is, entitled I aminspired by my post Who am I? Up to now, 4 bloggers have linked back to my initial post, I think that’s worth quite a few smiles… I hope that more and more people will join.  Continue reading “A Book and An Angel – #weeklysmile”
