It’s almost time for the annual Advent Calendar All I need is your contribution and for time to pass a little slower so that everyone can be creative and I can review and set up the posts. Last year I had the crazy idea to host a multi-contributor advent calendar. It worked great and many contributors found new readers and friends and many of loyal … Continue reading It’s almost time for …
Great Blogging Events Part 2 – Fortnightly, Monthly and Yearly Events
Two weeks ago, I published a post about Blogging Events, to my surprise it was far more successful than I had thought possible. I guess that many bloggers are hungry for prompts, events and linkups, readers on the other hand are always on the lookout for some new blogs and stories to read. So, as I mentioned in that post about weekly events (you can find it here), I am now going to present some of the events that I have participated in or have come across that are rarer than weekly. Hopefully you will find something for you, might it be inspiration, friends, readers or a few blogs to read regularly. With Great Blogging Events Part 1 and now the second part, you should easily be able to fill your blogging schedule or reading list. I have been a bit absent from blogging over the last few days. I was traveling over the weekend, this means that I will be doing some travel posts soon.
Yesterday morning, I opened my letter box and found a marvellous surprise, a small parcel. Without opening it I already knew what was inside and could not stop smiling. Deborah Bryant had send me her book The Monster’s Daughter. She dedicated it to me with such sweet words, authors’ inscriptions are the best. Currently I am reading a different book, but I will probably pick up hers after that. Today, Deborah made me smile again. She had written a post about who she is, entitled I am, inspired by my post Who am I? Up to now, 4 bloggers have linked back to my initial post, I think that’s worth quite a few smiles… I hope that more and more people will join. Continue reading “A Book and An Angel – #weeklysmile”
Great Blogging Events – Part 1: Weekly Events
When I started blogging last year I quickly realised that there are various events that can tickle ones creativity, gain readers, find new blogs, build a blogging habit… Many of my readers found me through such events, and I found many of the blogs I read through events.
I often find myself recommending events to other bloggers. Below I have compiled a
small huge list of events that I can recommend you join. I initially wanted to do a post including weekly, monthly and yearly events, but by the look of it I am going to split this post into at least two parts.
If you are a blogger this list might be interesting if you are looking for linkups, prompts, new readers, new blogs to read, developing a blogging habit, motivation …
If you are only a reader, you might find some great posts to read, and some new blogs to follow. Why only read my blog? Continue reading “Great Blogging Events – Part 1: Weekly Events”
