Oh hello, what a surprise that you could drop by!

If we were having coffee, I’d be super happy to have you over. I’d get out a few chocolates. Oh right it is lent, so maybe you won’t be snacking on the chocolate Santa’s.

If we were having coffee, I’d probably serve you some tea as I don’t have any coffee around the house. While waiting for the electric kettle to boil, I’d ask you so many questions. Starting with: how are you?

So how are you? What have you been up to lately? What books are you reading at the moment and what music are you listening to? Have you joined the #fridaysforfuture movement? Are your kids, parents, friends, siblings, pets doing ok? And so on…

If we were having coffee, then I’d probably have cleaned up the mess that currently surrounds me, but I do that at least 5 times a day. I have just sorted through the kids’ clothing. In vain trying to find some more space in our tiny apartment by trying to find creative ways of stocking tiny unworn or very much worn pieces of clothing. It’s impressive how much clothing one goes through in the first 5 years of being a parent. If you are in Paris and need clothing for your kids, do let me know, I’ll be happy to share what is sharable.

If we were having coffee, then I’d give you a full update. On how my work is working super well now, but keeps me from writing, blogging and finding a new job. Strange right? Now, I am ready to do something different and then I have a full schedule (as a freelancer there is nothing better than being fully booked).

If we were having coffee, I might put on some music. Have you heard the newest single by Newcatle Band Little Comets? It’s called Alive at All. One of my sister’s friends recently released a beautiful EP, Brut by Elodie Gervaise is something I might make you listen to as well. What do you think? I haven’t talked much about music on this blog, which is curious as in the past I reviewed a lot of albums…

If we were having coffee, I’d tell you that I am reading Who Shot Tony Blair by Lucy Brazier, it’s a post-Brexit Dystopia, that reads like a play. And the truth be told with the events of the past weeks, the likelihood of something like it unfolding in real life looks more and more likely.

It’s time for me to see you out, but I’ll hopefully see you soon. Do feel free to browse through my blog. There are some fairly recent book reviews (one is in French) on my blog.

I signed up for this year’s A to Z Challenge, it’s the tenth edition… I’d really love to make it this time, but who knows, currently I am not the best when it comes to challenges, still I try to participate in a coffee share every once in a while.   2. My apologizes for being so terribly late to our coffee date! I’d say yes to that cup of tea 🙂
    Sometimes the weekends gets so busy, as I like to spend time outside cellphone reach when I’m not (stuck) working (in the city, Las Vegas.) It’s a somewhat tricky challenge between interacting with my blogging friends in the weekends, something I thoroughly enjoy, versus exploring wilderness areas. Since I know that we’re approaching a terrible heat sooner than I care for, I’ve choose to explore a lot the past weekends. That way I can enjoy the slower pace I’ll be forced to move at when the heat arrives. It’s already starting to warm up here. Yesterday we had closer to 30C. (I saw my first tomato seedlings sprout yesterday.) It can get up to 50C during the hottest days of summer. I’ve never spent a whole summer here, and honestly, I am a bit scared. My plan is to survive by spending more time indoors (learning more about photo editing and work on my blog,) and in the pool.

    I congratulate you to having more work. That is awesome, even though I understand that you’re very busy! I only have one daughter, but I can relate to things piling up fast. I’m a minimalist, and it’s challenging to see. I got a couple big organizers two weeks ago, and went through every single possession and art work she had saved. We came to a good solution that we both are happy with. She loves art, and everything she sees is potential crafting material…it can be a lot of it very fast.
