If we were having coffee today, then I would ask you if you’d be ok with a glass of water, I would also be willing to make you some freshly pressed orange juice. We would then settle down for a nice afternoon chat, or maybe go outside and have a walk through the Parc Monceau (as it is just around the corner).
If we were having coffee, or in our case water, then I would tell you how my week has been. In my opinion since we talked last Saturday, it went by really quickly, far too quickly actually. As I only worked two times this week, yesterday and this morning, it was the blogging that made the week go by fast. You would look at me and ask: “how come? You didn’t put many posts up this week.” Well on Monday I posted my A to Z Reflections Post, and I was a bit overwhelmed by all the comments, thank you 🙂 ! I think that this was mostly due to the fact that I managed be 7th on linky list over at the A to Z Challenge Page. 7 is actually one of my favourite numbers, which makes it even better. So I spend a lot of time commenting back and paying visits to all of the bloggers who stopped by. Besides that I had been partying hard over at the A to Z After Party hosted by Sabina at Victim to Charm.
If we were having coffee, I would show you the writing progress I have made over the last few days, especially last evening once little one was asleep, I filled a few more pages of my Moleskin. The story Polished Shoes, which I put up on Wednesday will continue soon. I would also let you know that I am planning of having a more structured blogging week, but I’ll tell you more about that in a different post.
Then I would probably moan a bit about how I am not happy with the fact that I am not blogging or writing enough in German and French. But I plan to do more of that (not the moaning). I would let you know, that if I am good, then I’ll manage to post a new story tomorrow, as I figured that Solveig’s (short) story Sunday could be a great weekly event to get me writing regularly, any prompts are welcome 🙂
You would mention how nice little one has been all trough our silent chat. I would tell you how I am glad that she’s started napping, those teeth must have been tough, one of the 4 that hurt her last week is through now. I guess that I would also boast a bit with the fact that she’s a great kid when it comes to working from home.
If we were having coffee, then I would ask you how your week was. If you have anything special planned for next week, if there are any blogs or posts that I should check out. And of course I would ask you if you are going the Weekly Coffee Share hosted by Diana over at Part Time Monster? If so, head over to her site and join the linkup.
The Weekend Coffee Share is a weekly event hosted by Diana at Part Time Monster.

Good morning! Thanks for the refreshing water after all the coffee I’ve been drinking. I have no plans of my own for the weekend. A lot of the immediate family got together last night and celebrated an early Mother’s Day at Red Lobster. I hope you have a relaxing rest of your weekend 🙂

Thanks for joining me 🙂 I hope that you liked the water, I am a bit posh so it is Vittel 🙂
I hope that the weekend will be relaxing for you too.

I told you on my blog that I was going to join a few others for coffee, but water works:) I’ll have to stop by later and read a short story or two.

I am glad that you accept water too. There’s a short story scheduled for tomorrow. 🙂

In the “real world”, as opposed to the virtual one, I am currently drinking a glass of water… Well, since I won’t remember to check back on my own I had to follow you so I could see the story 😉

Okay, if it is morning, it’s got to be coffee for me! How old is your little one? They are so precious and grow up so quickly.
I was a minion helper in the A to Z Challenge! Many excellent blogs and themes there!
When I graduated from high school I could read French almost as well as English. I used it some at college and in my second job, as we exported white pine plywood to France. (From little tiny Silsbee, TX!) But, alas, I haven’t used it since, so now I’d probably be totally lost!
Posted my first #WeekendCoffeeShare at Life & Faith in Caneyhead!

Little one just turned 15 months old. With time flying by at the moment she does grow up even quicker 🙂
I think that you can always revivify a language. You’d be lost in the beginning, but not for too long.
I joined the Coffee Share for the first time last week, and have been enjoying it since. I’ll drop in soon 🙂

Awesome that you can write in three languages! I can read French well enough, and write simple sentences formally, but cannot write creatively in that second language. When I have the money, I want to take proper French classes and become fluent. I also want to learn Spanish.
Thanks for the water! I needed some rehydration this morning. 😉

I am German, and English was my second language. But for some reason writing in English just flows at the moment. I would like to write a bit more in French, I finished high school in France and did my Master’s degree here too (ok I managed to convince my professors to let me write my big research papers in English).
You are welcome for the water, it was great to have you stop by.

Oh, freshly squeezed orange juice is the best!
Fantastic that you got so many comments on the reflection post, and that you were so high up on the list! 7 is one of my favorite numbers, too. 🙂

I hope that you enjoyed the juice. With your coffee share I am definitely drinking more coffee than I do in 5 years…

🙂 I do have to be careful, or it will have me drinking more, too!

I would definitely want a cold drink, as it’s warm over here. Frankly, ice water would be plenty refreshing.

I am sorry, but I don’t have any ice. But cooled water might do the trick?

I am amazed that you attempt to write in 3 languages. I’m bilingual, but I’m too much of a perfectionist to write in Polish and only do it when forced. I don’t think I could write creatively in Polish, although I don’t think I’d ever tried.
7 is my lucky number and I’ve almost always lived in a house with the number 7 somewhere in the address.

You should write in Polish, you’ll only get better at it! I lived in Poland for 6 months, but I sadly didn’t learn the language, maybe it is time to reopen my course books.
Wow, do you pick your houses that way? I have realised that multiples of 7 are quite common in my life.

My childhood home I did not pick for obvious reasons, but several others I took the number 7 as a sign I should live there. The one I currently live in has the number 7 in it, and we bought it for a plethora of reasons, but I took the number 7 as a good omen.

I definitely agree with you that the week has flown by! I’m so glad you’ve made progress on your writing, and I’ll look forward to the short story. If we were having coffee, or in this case, water, I would apologise for being late and ask about the rest of your weekend. I hope it was a terrific one 🙂

I had a terrific weekend. My fiancé had his weekend on Sunday and Monday and it felt like as if we had 4 great days of family time instead of 2. This week is starting slower I guess.
